Dr Andrea Kanneh is currently the Manager - Performance and Engagement, of the Digital Performance and Engagement Unit, of the National Digital Strategy and Operations Division. Dr Kanneh leads the Digital Skills Development Programme which is branded “WeLearnTT”.
Dr Kanneh has always been passionate about empowering others, particularly those from underserved communities. She has been actively involved in teaching and training for over thirty (30 years and continues to develop herself in the area of Leadership. She has ICF and CCA Certified and Accredited Life Coaching training and is now a Maxwell Leadership Coach, Speaker and Trainer with John Maxwell Leadership Coaching.
Dr Kanneh holds a PhD in Haptics and Biometric security (in the field of ICT). Her research falls mainly in the area of Software Engineering with a specific focus on haptics, biometrics, computer security, and human-computer interaction. It is noteworthy at this forum that Dr Kanneh is the first PhD graduate (male or female) of our national University of Trinidad and Tobago.
She is also an External Evaluator with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) since 2012 where she has participated in evaluations such as Desktop reviews, School Registrations and School Accreditation.
Other areas of expertise and experience include Leadership and Management, life coaching and training, Project Management, Research Ethics, and Information Technology. She is currently the chair of the Research Ethics Committee of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the Treasurer of the Bioethics Society of the English-speaking Caribbean (BSEC).
Current qualifications include Doctorate in ICT, Master of Science in Research Ethics, Master of Business Administration, Leadership Coaching Certification, Life Coaching certification, and Project Management Professional Certification.
