Curtis Mayers was recently contracted as an Instructional Mentor with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Prior to this appointment, he was employed with the National Entrepreneurship Development Company Limited (NEDCO) from December 2002 to December 2021 with his last position being Corporate Planner. He was seconded to the National Integrated Business Incubator System from October 2011 to September 2012 where he served as the Programme Manager. He was the manager of NEDCO’s Office at the UWI, St Augustine from 2013 to 2017.
During his career, he has also held positions as a Credit Officer at First Citizens Bank and Financial Analyst with the Maritime Financial Group. Curtis has lectured on a part time basis at both the University of the West Indies (UWI) and University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) under the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He currently serves on the ICT Advisory Council of UTT and is a past member of the Quality Assurance Committee at the UWI. He was appointed a member of the UWI Ventures expert mentors panel in 2021. He is a long serving member of the Board of Directors at the Caribbean Microfinance Alliance, a regional grouping of Development Finance Institutions throughout the Caribbean. He has also served on the Boards of the CEPEP Company Limited and the UWI Centre for Export Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
He was certified as a training officer through the “Train the Trainer Programme” during his tenure at First Citizens Bank and regularly conducts training in a number of business disciplines for the Chamber of Commerce, NEDCO, the University of the West Indies, the Network of Rural Women Producers and several other organizations.
