With the invention of the “Universal Turing Machine” we have come a long way from vacuum tubes & data magnetic drums to transistors which later on paved way for much more efficient integrated circuits. Quantum computing is the area of study focused on developing computer technology based on the principles of quantum theory, which explains the nature and behaviour of energy and matter on the quantum level.
India finally commits to quantum computing, promises $1.12B investment. The Indian government has planned to invest ₹8,000 crores ($1.12 billion) in quantum computing research over five years. With the leading institutions and research labs across the country has already geared up with some upfront Department of Science and Technology, Government of India initiate projects for building a Quantum Computer and Quantum secure satellite communication. Many Educational institutes across the country has dedicated research labs with researchers committed to curate and evolve this field of Computing.
Quantum Computing at a glance
Quantum Computing Knowledge Club is a branch of the Student Development Cell formed by unified effort of School of Information Technology & Cyber Security, at Rashtriya Raksha University. The purpose of this club is to keep up with what is happening and learning gradually this emerging technologies. We believe having a Quantum Computing Club at our university would benefit students by not only exposing them to this field early but also having a chance to contribute in this filed with lot many research opportunities. The main goal of this club is to provide a fun and engaging opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge of Quantum Computing and to interact with other students who have a shared interest in this field.
The time has come to step forward and learn hand in hand, the prospective applications of Quantum Computing. In order to achieve this the foremost thing we need is a community of like minded people with a common interest to expand their knowledge and experience in Quantum Computing. You can refer to proposed activities.
