Meet Coach Kait

I’m excited to be continuing my third year as a coach after volunteering for several seasons. Cheering has been a passion of mine for about 12 years—I’ve competed at nationals in Orlando, Florida, and even cheered in the Varsity parade at Disney World! Though I have a passion for cheer, I love most the connections I’ve made with the girls, Coach Nichelle, and other members of the GF community. I am most proud to watch this program grow and also give back to the community!

I graduated from Red River in 2020 as a Covid grad and recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UND in May 2024. Now, I’m proud to work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and Operating Room at Altru.

Becoming an aunt almost a year ago has been my greatest joy, and I cherish every moment with my family, whether we’re at the lake or in Arizona. I also value spending time and making unforgettable memories with my friends, boyfriend, and of course, my family’s puppies!

I’m looking forward to an incredible season ahead!

Meet Coach Lizzy 

I am super excited to be joining the Red River Cheerleading Coaches Staff! Cheerleading has always had a place in my heart and I am excited to get back to the sport I LOVE! I cheered for St. Michael Albertville Varsity Sideline for 4 years in high school and also cheered competitively for 5 years from 8th grade to Senior year! I was a 2 time all state sideline cheerleader, 2 time all state competitive cheerleader, captain my senior year, our team was named Minnesota Cheer off champions my senior year and I was able to be on the competitive team that went down and competed at nationals in Orlando Florida. 

I graduated from St. Michael Albertville High School in 2017. I then came to UND where I got my Bachelors of Business Administration in Management with a minor in Leadership and graduated in the Fall of 2020. After college I moved back to Minnesota where I did retail management for four years. Last year I took a job with the UND Alumni Association and Foundation and moved back to Grand Forks!! 

I am married to my husband Sean and we have an American Britany puppy named Nala! I love baking, smiling, having fun, and hanging out with friends and family. I am super excited to get to know all the girls and lead them to an incredible season this year!
