The Rachana Public School Barahi hostel was established in 2012 in response to a strongly expressed need for comfortable living accommodation for students seeking admission at the school from far-flung areas. The attractive and spacious auburn brick building of the hostel is spread along the north-eastern wall of the 16 acre campus of the school and has been designed for easy inflow of light and air. Divided into separate wings for girls and boys, the hostel provides excellent living accommodation for 150 boarders from classes II to XII.
The infrastructure of the hostel includes a large dining hall, which serves nutritious vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals with an interesting menu. The common room is well-equipped with recreational facilities including TV, VCD player, DTH Cable. Hostellers have access to the swimming pool, horse riding and other sports facilities contained on the school campus in order to promote good health and sporting values. With hostellers hailing from distant areas such as the Middle-East, Nepal, North-East India and other states, the cultural and social environment of the hostel provides powerful lessons in cultivating an open and secular outlook.
