One of the most important aspects of the program was the RPI Mental Health Town Hall, which was entirely student-led by members of Active Minds and SHAC (the Student Health Advisory Council). The reasons for a student-led town hall were to encourage students to take a proactive role in mental health issues on campus, to ensure information was disseminated in a way that was easy for students to understand, and to create an environment where other students felt comfortable bringing up important issues regarding mental health.
All questions/concerns raised during the town hall, as well as anonymous feedback received from students throughout the Mental Health Week program, are being compiled into a report that will briefed directly to the administration. This report will be publicly posted below once it has been completed. The slides from the town hall are also available to view below.
