Journal Throughout Project

I chose this, because the building process of the mirror isn't exactly simple.
In between many major steps, there are often gaps of time in which I can reflect
and assess how i've done leading up to the next step. In this dead time I could
write a journal and make entries after some steps

Entry 1

I have bought the wood and will begin to mark out parts to be cut for my frame. I had my monitor and code ready and had it set up to see if any errors would arise

Entry 2

I did some math and decided that 2 1/2 inch borders will be enough, and adding 6 inches extra will let them overlap and connect.

Entry 3

I have received the parts I ordered online, however, I wont need most of it till later.

Entry 4

I got my wood cut and I will use some wood glue and trim nails to join the peices together. I had the outer one cut at an angle so it had some style.
The inner side is the most important because it holds all the weight so I made sure it was secure.

Entry 5

While waiting for the frames to bond, I used my window tint and applied to to my mirror. I used a razor to take off the excess. When I was done I used glue and nails to secure both frames and confirmed that the glass fit which it did.

Entry 6

I used wood paint to paint the frame and some cardboard to act as backing.
Entry 7

After letting it dry overnight, I set the monitor and cut the cardboard to cover the back of the mirror. I put in drywall screws with corner pieces to secure it in place. I put caulking around the mirror to give it a sealant with the frame. Then I used tape to put in all my hardware and managed the cables then hung it up on my wall.
