Jitesh is ICMR-SRF fellow and joined in 2019 as first Ph.D. student of Roy's Lab, after completing Masters in Animal Biology and Biotechnology from University of Hyderabad. In Roy's Lab his research focuses on understanding the role of one carbon metabolism and tear specific protein, Lacritin during corneal inflammation.
Ravi is a CSIR-UGC fellow and joined Roy's Lab in 2019 after completing Masters in Life Sciences from Central University of South Bihar. In Roy's Lab he is investigating the effects of LPS induced infection and tear specific protein, Lacritin on one carbon metabolism in cornea and corneal homeostasis.Â
Mayank is Integrated M.Sc. PhD student and joined Roy's Lab in 2021 after completing Masters in Animal Biology and Biotechnology from University of Hyderabad. In Roy's Lab he is trying to understand the role of oncometabolite 2 hydroxyglutarate produced by mutant IDH enzymes in cancer cell metabolism and tumour microenvironment.
Poonam joined the Roy's Lab in 2021 as Integrated M.Sc. PhD Student in Animal Biology and Biotechnology at University of Hyderabad. She joined as PhD student in 2023. In Roy's Lab she is involved in understanding the one-carbon metabolism reprogramming in chemoresistence of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, and Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia.
Priyanshu joined the Roy's Lab in 2023 as Integrated M.Sc. PhD student in Animal Biology and Biotechnology. He joined as PhD scholar (CSIR-JRF) in 2025. In Roy's lab he is involved in understanding the one carbon metabolism mechanism associated with inflammation in cornea.Â
Nibedita joined the Roy's lab in 2025 as PhD scholar. She completed her M.Sc. Zoology from Univeristy of Burdwan, West Bengal. She has qualified CSIR-UGC (LS), GATE XL/EY, and TG-SET. In Roy's Lab, she is involved in investigating Toxoplasma induced infection and inflammation of retinal pigment epithelium.Â
