Book Donation Guidelines
The Library accepts donations of gently used or new materials that are in clean, good condition. Accepted materials may include:
Fiction and nonfiction books
Children's and young adult books
Local history and genealogy materials
Recent reference materials (as appropriate)
Audiobooks and DVDs (if in good working condition)
The Library generally does not accept:
Materials that are damaged, moldy, stained, or have missing pages
Textbooks or technical manuals
Encyclopedias or reference sets more than five years old (unless of historical value)
Magazines, newspapers, or catalogs
Items with excessive highlighting, writing, or water damage
Drop-Off:
Please bring donated books in sturdy boxes that the library can keep for storage and sorting.Â
Books must be donated only during the library's regular open hours so staff can accept them. Please do not leave book donations outside the library when we are closed.
