Michael Koplitz stated playing chess at the age of 8. He was the captain of his High School chess team. At his first chess tournament in 1974 he was the 2nd unrated player at the world open, under 1800, in New York City. Currently he holds a rating of 1703 USCF. Mike loves to teach kids how to become winners at chess. He has a great track record for coaching and teaching. Mike owns over 150 chess sets and over 1,000 books. He loves to study the game!
