Step One:

Connect the video output on your VCR to the matching video input on your Roxio Video Capture device using an RCA or S-Video Cable. If your VCR has a yellow RCA video output, use an RCA cable to connect it to the matching yellow RCA video input on the capture device. If your VCR has an S-Video output, use an S-Video cable to connect it to the matching S-Video input on the Roxio Video Capture device. When possible, we recommend using S-Video for higher quality.

Connect the Roxio Video Capture USB device to a USB 2.0 port on your computer. An optional USB extension cord is included. Connect the Roxio adapter to the capture device. Connect the audio player to the large two-prong plug using the cables supplied with your player. (The cables needed to connect your audio system to the Roxio adaptor are not included with Easy VHS to DVD.)

VHS tapes are generally recorded at a lower quality than we have come to expect in the age of digital video, and degrades over time. Roxio Easy VHS to DVD will faithfully transfer your video to DVD. Roxio Easy VHS to DVD also includes some tools to sharpen, denoise and improve the quality of captured video, but cannot improve videos beyond the quality of the video as it was originally captured on the tape. The resulting video quality of the DVD will depend entirely on the quality of the source material. Low quality VHS video cannot be converted to high quality video by transferring it to a DVD disc.

I've tried for hours to stream my ps3 but for some reason when the video is going to my monitor its perfect but when I open the video capture device on obs or click on capture on the actual roxio software the video just disappears. It's really frustrating, i just want to stream KH2.5

You are using an older Roxio video capture USB device - model# UB315-E ver. 3 and your Mac is running on macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later. There were no 64-bit system extensions/drivers written for this particular model to run on the newer macOS versions. Hence, the app failing to recognize the device.

If you have recently upgraded to macOS Sonoma 14.1 and noticed that your Roxio video capture USB app has stopped working, this is due to the aforementioned changes in the support for older API libraries. Apple has published a knowledgebase article that explains this situation, and how to re-enable your "legacy" video device by modifying some settings on your Mac. Please click on this link to read the article.

I've used this app for a few years with no problem, but since upgrading to a new machine running Mojave my captures don't include audio. I've done a clean install of Toast (18), and have checked to ensure that Live Screen Capture is allowed under accessibility and microphone (although I'm not trying to capture the microphone at the moment).

USB 2861 is intended as a video capture device (video with audio), not an audio capture device. Audacity cannot take audio from a stream presented as combined video/audio, which I suspect is what is happening.

Roxio Game Capture HD Pro is a utility software by Corel Corporation. The software allows the capturing of video from video games on computers and gaming consoles. It is used alongside a physical Roxio capture card and users can save game footages in 1080 30p or 60i. This is ideal for sharing live game footages on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and Youtube. All game footages are saved in the H.264-encoded format. The integrated SmartEncode feature reduces the time to render footages. Users can save their gameplay for up to 1 hour. They can even flag any best moment from the game to highlight them. There is an option for manual or automatic game capture and they can edit the game footage they have recently saved with its tools.

I want to transfer video from a VHS tape to my computer with Arch Linux, using a USB capture device that comes with Roxio Easy VHS to DVD, which I recently bought. I tried to plug in the device, and it was properly recognized. From /var/log/messages.log,

The software included is easily leaps and bounds better than anything I have used previously. The capture software hooks directly into Twitch for instant streaming complete with an audio lag setting to get it right on cue. While it may not have as many tweaks and options for the video input as other devices, the standard settings deliver a crisp capture up to 1080p. You can check out the sample video within this review, as it was captured entirely with the Roxio device.

With YouTube and Twitch getting more and more popular with every passing day, a decent capture device is crucial. As the tech has matured, the range of devices on offer has broadened with each offering a plethora of features while remaining easy to use.

Most recently we have managed to grab a hold onto the AVermedia Live Gamer Portable HD, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of its output and the ingenious option of allowing footage to be recorded both to your PC or instead onto an SD card.

However, the latest offering from Elgato, the Elgato Game Capture HD60, still remains one of the most popular devices at the moment, offering a blistering 1080p, 60fps capture delivered from a device no larger than the size of a credit card.

So, with these capture kings in mind, how does the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro stack up?

Roxio wowed the world in March 2011, with their first entry into the video game capture card market. The Roxio Game Capture was an inexpensive solution for gamers wanting to record and share their gameplay online.

Capturing footage of gaming exploits is an increasingly popular way of both sharing your experiences and reviewing games. With the popularisation of websites such as Twitch.TV, such equipment enabling users to capture, edit and test gameplay is becoming essential hardware.

For capture card virgins, the Roxio Game Capture was the perfect starting point. It allowed gamers to try out recording, editing, and uploading gameplay, without needing to sell a kidney to afford one.

Looking to add your voice to the conversation? Get started recording gameplay on Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii, so that you can make commentaries, let's play's and how-to videos to share with the world. This video explains how to set up your Roxio capture card.

Roxio's Game Capture HD Pro is a relative breath of fresh air and a complete about-face from its woefully ill-received standard-definition Game Capture device from last year. There's so much to like about the hardware and bundled software that it's surprising to see it priced so competitively at $150, too. Granted, there are minute issues with software stability that need to be ironed out, but it rarely interferes with capturing or streaming. At the moment, it's the best device in its class and the perfect HD-capture solution for those with a burgeoning interested in capturing gameplay or streaming over TwitchTV.

Since the PlayStation 3's digital video signal is encoded with HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection), the only option for that particular console is to capture gameplay at 1080i. This shouldn't be an issue with most games, or for most people, since the majority of the console's library maxes out at 720p. Capturing video from any 1080p source with Roxio's box limits the frame rate to 30fps, while all other resolutions max out at 60fps. The maximum encoding rate of ~15Mbps is more than enough for most folks, but other products, such as the Elgato Game Capture HD, actually support 30Mbps.

Roxio's capture software supports a secondary audio input (through Windows) to narrate video streams, but there's no support for live narration during standard capture sessions. You can, however, use the Videowave editing software to layer a narration track on top of the video during postproduction.

The true highlight of the bundled software is the built-in TwitchTV streaming functionality. Simply log in to your TwitchTV/JustinTV account from the options menu, and click the "Live Stream" button within the capture software. If you've got the bandwidth to support it, you can stream at 720p with a maximum bitrate of 2250Kbps, but those without great connections can also stream at 240p, 360p, or 480p, at varying bitrates. Past solutions have required an intermediate agent, be it software or hardware, so Roxio's all-in-one solution is a huge step in the right direction.

With so many choices available to the game capturing community, new products raise eyebrows only when they have something unique to bring to the table. For Roxio's Game Capture HD Pro, the freshest detail on offer is the built-in TwitchTV streaming. That aside, you could still do a lot worse than Roxio's Game Capture HD Pro. It offers a range of HD capture capabilities, allows you to stream easily, and includes a plethora of editing and postproduction tools. The fact that it includes all of this functionality and still costs less than competing devices makes it an easy product to recommend.

Capturing game footage in HD (up to 1080 30p/1080 60i) is capable with the game capture card. Making this possible through the use of HDMI or other component in and output. Enjoy endless gameplay without delays or disruption. No outside power source needed.

One click of a button allows sharing videos to both Facebook and YouTube even continuing in the capture software. Availability to Tweet live or Post on Facebook during a live streaming of gameplay comes with installing the Service Pack 2.

Beyond Movie Maker, there are a great number of home-oriented computer video-editing programs. A nice one is called Studio 9 from Pinnacle Systems, the seller of your Dazzle video capture gear (www.pinnaclesys.com).

Perhaps the ultimate high-end consumer software is the new $90 Roxio Easy Media Creator 7, which adds extensive CD and DVD burning tools as well as excellent video editing and photo tweaking modules. Add it to your online shopping at www.roxio.com. 0852c4b9a8
