Currently, I am a staff scientist in the Computing and Artificial Intalligence Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory. I am also part of LANL’s AI Strike Team, where I help scientists adopt generative AI by designing tailored solutions for their research problems, with a focus on outreach and new project development. I develop and deliver hands-on training on generative AI and AI-assisted coding through the LANL AI Tech Lab. I teach recurring courses for managers, scientists, and developers, covering topics such as LLM capabilities and security, AI-assisted research and writing, and coding workflows using tools like ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, and Codex.
I graduated in mathematics and computer science and received my PhD in the Image and Signal Processing Group at Leipzig University. I then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at IDAV at the University of California, Davis, and at the Computer Graphics and HCI Group at the Technical University Kaiserslautern.
My research interests include visualization, data science, machine learning, HPC, pattern detection, vector fields, and color theory.
