Analytical frameworks used across policing and their partners in England and Wales
Multi-agency partnerships that are established to deal with often chronic or 'wicked problems' (i.e. Community Safety Partnership, Violence Reduction Unit) typically bring different disciplines and professions to the table. Each agency usually has one or more process models which guide how they work to overcome problems. Sometimes these can sound daunting and very unfamiliar, particularly where spoken of only in acronyms. However, in most cases, they involve the same steps albeit described slightly differently and referred to by different names. Below is a general simplified matrix I've put together to help understand the crossovers and similarities.
Whilst Evidence-Based Policing (EBP) 'Triple T' is included as a framework, being Evidence-Based is the overarching standard that all frameworks should be led by. That is practices should be based on scientific evidence about what works best.
