This Privacy Policy applies to CratedOnes RouteLog Tracking, also referred to as RouteLog Driver Tracking, published on Google Play by Kenneth Herrera.
Android package name: com.akmedia.RouteLogDriverTracking
Privacy contact: kherrerab@gmail.com
With your consent and the required Android permissions, the app collects and transmits your device’s location, including latitude, longitude, location accuracy, and the time of the location report.
Location data enables driver tracking, last-known location, and route and dispatch coordination. Reports are normally transmitted approximately every 60 seconds while tracking is active.
The app collects location data in the background, including when the app is closed or not actively in use. Tracking runs through an Android foreground service. Where Android permits and the necessary permissions remain granted, tracking may resume after the operating system restarts the app’s process or after a device reboot.
The app stores an organization-provided device key using the operating system’s secure storage. This key authenticates requests to the RouteLog backend and associates location reports with the corresponding authorized device or driver.
The app does not require users to create an account within the app.
The app stores limited operational information locally, including tracking consent, the last successful transmission time, and a summary of the last transmitted location. This information supports tracking recovery and the app’s status display.
Location and device authentication information are used to:
Receive and authenticate location reports.
Display driver or device locations to authorized RouteLog personnel.
Support route coordination and dispatch operations.
Show the status of location transmissions.
The app does not use location information for advertising.
Location reports are transmitted to the RouteLog backend configured for the organization using the app. Authorized dispatch personnel and other authorized RouteLog administrators may access these reports for operational purposes.
Location reports may identify a driver through the device key assigned by that organization.
We do not sell location data. Information may be processed by service providers supporting the RouteLog backend, such as hosting providers, where applicable. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.
The device key is stored using Android’s secure storage facilities. Location reports are transmitted to the configured RouteLog backend, where server-side records are managed by the organization operating the service.
Access to operational location records is intended for authorized personnel. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
Server-side retention: RouteLog stores only the most recent location report for each device. Each new report replaces the previous report; the live database does not retain location history. The latest report remains stored until it is replaced by a new report or deleted.
Local app data can be removed by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app. Doing so does not automatically delete records previously transmitted to the RouteLog backend.
The app requests location permissions to provide driver tracking. Background-location permission allows location access when the app is not actively in use and supports permitted recovery after a device reboot.
The app may request notification permission to display tracking notifications. Battery settings may affect the timing and reliability of background tracking.
You can stop future location collection by revoking the app’s location permissions in Android settings. Disabling device location services also prevents the app from obtaining new locations.
Revoking permissions does not delete location reports already transmitted.
Location data is personal and sensitive information, even though the app does not require a personal user profile.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of location records, contact Kenneth Herrera at kherrerab@gmail.com or the organization operating RouteLog for your device.
Include enough information to identify the relevant organization and device. Do not include your secret device key in an email. Additional information may be requested to verify your identity and authority to access the records.
Requests are handled subject to applicable law and any lawful record-retention obligations.
The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not access your contact list or collect an advertising ID.
The app is intended for authorized drivers and organizational personnel, not children. It is not designed for use by children.
If you believe a child’s information has been collected through the service, contact kherrerab@gmail.com.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app, service, or data-handling practices. The updated policy will be published at this address with a revised “Last updated” date. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required.
