Welcome to my Google Site "Route CPD to ELT" which is a spinoff of my Route CPD for ELT WordPress Blog which I set up in 2013. I originally set up the WordPress Blog as a place to share lesson plans and some of my Professional Development experiences and musings. However, I haven't found it very user-friendly and have decided to transfer my material to a Google Site and to update this site more regularly.

I am a qualified English Language Teaching professional with 23 years of experience in ELT teaching, lecturing, teacher training, management and materials development in both Israel and Australia. My work in schools, at The British Council, The Open University, and more recently at Bar Ilan University, has led me to believe that I, like so many teachers, thrive in a team environment and that the best educational outcomes are the results of creative teams, which focus on conceptualising, consulting, collaborating and ultimately creating a learner-centred culture of thinking. However, in a Post-Covid  reality this is not an easy ask. 

As an ELT high school teacher in Israel I believe that ongoing professional development is the cornerstone of professionalism. I do a lot of CPD (at least four in-service courses a year) as a consequence, I am always learning about new digital tools and the latest pedagogical approaches, and try to integrate my learning into my lesson plans for my high school students and my pre-service TESOL students.
