ROUSE Privacy Policy

ROUSE is built privacy first. We do not run ads, we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or share your personal data. This page explains what happens with your information.
Data stored on your device
Your alarms, missions, wake history, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's on device storage. We do not have a copy of this data and there is no account or login.
AI briefing
When you use the AI briefing, the app sends only the minimal information needed to generate your short briefing text to our secure server, which relays it to a third party AI provider. This request is used only to produce the briefing and is not used to build a profile of you or linked to your identity by us.
Weather
If you allow location access, your approximate location is used to show local weather in your briefing through Apple WeatherKit. Location is optional and the app works without it.
Camera
Camera access is only requested if you choose a photo or code scanning mission. Images are used only to complete the mission and are not uploaded or stored by us.
Purchases
Any purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details.
Notifications
Alarms and reminders use local notifications on your device.
Data deletion
Because your data lives on your device, you can remove it at any time by using Reset inside the app or by deleting the app.
Children
ROUSE is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
