Choreographed Ballroom is putting names to the steps in ballroom rhythm patterns. It is a pre-choreographed ballroom dance where a “Cuer” announces what figures/steps are coming next just before the figures/steps are to be executed; and dancers then execute those figures in unison.

Choreographed Ballroom is an excellent way to learn basic steps in several Ballroom rhythms which can later be used on the social dance floor! It is a way leaders learn to lead with confidence and the follower learns feet placement to follow more easily. We dance in the same circular pattern as on the social dance floor.

Choreographed Ballroom has a relaxed, fun atmosphere.  There are no performances, no competitions, and no trophy cases. Dress is casual – no fancy clothing or costumes. Just people dancing for fun.  It’s light-hearted.  It’s relaxed, it’s playful.

Choreographed ballroom dancing has many health benefits including, but not limited to, ease of body movement, memory recall, and exercise; but most of all, choreographed ballroom dancing is all about making new friends.
