Rotuman is the indigenous language of the people of Rotuma, an island about 400 miles north-west of Fiji. There are about 15,000 Rotumans scattered around the globe, particularly in Australia, England, Fiji, New Zealand, and the U.S. Nearly all Rotumans speak English, and there is a relatively significant number that speak Rotuman.
