About Rotherham Rhythm
ASHAY Dance CIC (Nisha Lall) and Khula Arts (Tongesayi Gumbo) have been working with 80 young people (ages 10 - 16 years old) from Rotherham & North Sheffield to take part in a unique multi arts project, funded by the Arts Council.
The project has worked with young people from Amara Collective, Clifton Learning Partnership,
Eastwood Community Primary School, Steel City Consultancy and Romano Jilo.
Young people have had the opportunity to learn and take part in range of diverse dance and music styles, film making, creative writing and visual arts. Work has been displayed at events like Uplift Festival and Clifton Park Museum and performances opportunities at Ferham Festival, Clifton Park Museum and Crossing Borders Youth Dance platform.
Young people have learnt new skills and gained confidence by working with local dancers, musicians, filmmakers and artists. The young people are now working towards their Explore and Bronze Arts Awards.
