DISTRICT 3770 PREPARES FOR THE MAGIC OF ROTARY – RY 2024 -2025
As we anticipate The Magic of Rotary for Rotary Year 2024 - 2025, the District Team Training Seminar was conducted on February 17, 2024, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at 8 Waves Hotel and Resort, Padre Pio Hall, San Rafael, Bulacan.
The District Team Training Seminar was organized by the District 3770 Learning Team headed by Past District Governor and District Learning Facilitator Gil Dindo O. Berino. The participants included incoming Assistant Governors and other incoming District officers. Also in attendance were Past District 3770 Governors Benigno Emilio “Pichoy” P. Ramirez and Bienvenido “Jon” C. Alonzo, Jr. with District Governor Nominee Jose Alexander Santos who showed their full support throughout the seminar.
Computers were made available for the participants in the hands on training as they navigate through MyRotary.org.
The day was filled with an impressive line-up of resource speakers. In the morning, the group was divided into three breakout sessions:
1. PDG Gil Dindo O. Berino for Assistant Governors
2. SDDG Raquel Tantoco Pineda for District Officers for Operations
3. SDDG Reynaldo “Jon-Jon” Odulio, Jr. for District Officers for the Rotary Foundation
For the afternoon general session, the speakers and their topics were:
1. PUBLIC IMAGE – with CP Josh Santos of RC San Juan Supreme who is the Assistant Regional Rotary Public Image Coordinator
2. MEMBERSHIP – with PDG @Efren Martinez who is the District 3770 Membership Chair and Assistant Regional Coordinator
3. ROTARY COMMUNITY CORPS AND MICROFINANCE – with PDG Jose Francisco Q. Cifra of District 3780 and former President of the Philippine Rotary Village Corps Foundation of the Philippines
4. COOPERATIVES – with CS Alfredo S. Martin, who is the Baliuag Municipal Cooperatives Development Officer
5. THE ROTARY FOUNDATION – with PDG Rufino Penny Policarpio III of District 3780 who is also the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator of Zone 10A.
In the closing message, District 3770 Governor Elect Eduardo “Ed” T. Trajano expressed gratitude to all the participants and resource speakers for a productive and fulfilling seminar. The plans for the incoming Rotary Year was laid out.
Embracing Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self” and united under the inspiring district campaign for “One District, One Heart” (Humility, Empathy, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork), DGE Ed emphasized his commitment to advance Rotary’s action plan by focusing on the four Strategic Priorities:
1. Increase our impact
2. Expand our reach
3. Enhance participant engagement
4. Increase our ability to adapt.
There are also District's 3 High impact Projects for RY 2024-25: District digital transformation, empowering the Rotary Community Corps and launching and implementation of the “Social Enterprise”.
