ROSWELL GUN CLUB HISTORY

The Roswell Gun Club (RGC) was first organized as a New Mexico corporation in December of 1961. The Articles of Incorporation were revised in November of 1995 to establish the Club as a 501 C 4, non-profit corporation with the IRS. 

THE BOARD AND CLUB OFFICERS

A Board of Directors, consisting of five Club Officers and six Board Members, governs the operations of RGC. The Officers and Board are elected by the members in annual elections, February of each year, and are guided by the Club bylaws. 

The present Club Administration is an active, aggressive group who are sincere and intent on increasing the opportunities for participation in the Shooting Sports by providing a safe multipurpose Range Facility for use by the Roswell Community, Chaves County and South Eastern New Mexico.

MEMBERSHIP DUES AND TERM

The Club Membership currently exceeds 600 members, annual dues are $120.00 a year. Each member in good standing will be issued a key to the Range gate. Membership Dues are $120.00. Membership Year runs from the 1st of March through the end of February of the following year. 

SHOOTING MATCHES

The present Shooting Sports Program features regularly scheduled matches conducted by Club Match Directors on each Saturday, Sunday and on three Wednesdays a month. These matches are open to Non-members as well as RGC Members. The Range is otherwise Closed to Non-members except during scheduled matches. 

Matches are attended by competitors from all around Southeast New Mexico as well as West Texas. Match fees are collected from these competitors and these constitute a source of the club's income. Download the Match Schedule

RANGE COMPLEX

The Range Complex consists of 245 acres of RGC property, with eight ranges owned by the Club {Members}, included in these is a Law Enforcement Pistol Range {and 100m rifle range}, which is utilized for Training and Qualifications by local Law Enforcement Agencies who hold an Associate RGC Club Membership. RGC is open six-and-a-half days a week, sunrise to sunset; closed Monday mornings till Noon {for Maintenance}. 

MEMBER MEETINGS

Club Meetings are held the 1st Thursday of each Month, at 6:30 P.M, at the Chaves County Sheriff 's Office, 1 Saint Mary's Place, Roswell, NM 88203. Board meetings will follow regular meeting, if issues warrant. Should this day fall on, or near, a holiday, check with Club Officers, or Board Members for possible rescheduling.
