RosterMonster.IO
RosterMonster.io provides roster makers with a universal set of tools that can be used to enhance their workflows
Abstract
Rostering solutions are usually difficult to generalize outside of their intended domains. There were also many problems that surfaced when integrating workflows across various departments in the hospital. As such, our project aims to develop tools for the rostering systems, such that they can be utilized regardless of the differences across various departments. Our project consists of 3 main solutions: firstly to provide an interactive leave application interface, enhancing the tools available to roster makers when allocating calls, and lastly to showcase aggregated data in a customisable dashboard.
Tools
Count Coloured Cells
Roster Makers can now freely use color to add dimentions to a single sheet and different metrics can now be applied to coloured cells
Switch To Sheet
You no longer need to filter through many sheets to find the right one. Extremely useful when the task requires the user to cycle between sheets
Interactive Leave Application form
All users are able to view the schedules of others, potentially resolving scheduling conflicts in the future. Since free text is allowed, users can add as much information as needed to aid roster makers to make better allocation decisions
Custom Views
Roster Makers can now effectively add multiple colours to each cell. Done entirely with conditional formatting, rules can be easily changed by end user. Multiple workflows can be implemented with one sheet using information from different layers of colour
Data Analytics and Dashboarding
During allocations, administrative personnel can use this sheet to keep track of key metrics. They can use these metrics to judge how to allocate their duties, ensuring no one is unfairly allocated. Yearly and Quarterly reports can be easily generated with this information
Abstraction of parameters
Roster Makers can quickly look at what parameters are turned on or off in the backend. No need for technical knowledge in accessing Google App Script to change variables. They can just as easily control these parameters to fine tune their output
