Experience

Being the Executive Assistant at F-flat Books puts Rosie in constant contact with developments in Music Education. It also affords her the opportunity to create Growing Young Professionals a blog that explains practical aspects of professionalism often left out of undergraduate education.

While interning with Music Service Learning, Rosie took the opportunity to create a curriculum review and development team--the Brain Trust--to review teacher submitted lessons and curriculum for content and modality constraints. This group has successfully checked curriculum and content for cultural awareness and sensitivity, pedagogical accuracy, and modality improvement.

Teaching as part of Central Oak Height's Music Camp helped mold Rosie's leadership style. There, while constantly responsible for students and their engagement, she learned to lead with grace, care, and compassion. Incorporating those characteristics into the culture of any community--whether it be camp or a K-12 classroom--is the goal of Rosie's leadership.
