Privacy Policy for Rosie

Rosie ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal wellness companion that helps you log meals, track health-related habits, and stay organised. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Rosie is for general wellness and information only.

INFORMATION THE APP HANDLES

All of the information you enter is stored locally on your own device. We do not run accounts, and we do not collect or store your personal data on our own servers, except as described under "AI food analysis" below. This includes: your name, age, sex, height, weight, chosen health conditions, meals, nutrition estimates, meal and progress photos, blood pressure, glucose, weight readings, medications, appointments, water and activity.

AI FOOD ANALYSIS

If you use the optional AI food-photo feature, the meal photo you submit is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a nutrition estimate. Photos are used only to produce that estimate and are not used to train AI models. Estimates are AI-generated and may be inaccurate; always verify important values yourself.

PERMISSIONS

Camera / Photos: only to capture or choose meal and progress photos. Notifications: only to remind you about medications and appointments you set. Internet: only to perform AI food analysis when you use it.

SHARING

We do not sell your information and do not share it with advertisers. The only third party that processes any of your data is Anthropic, and only the meal photo you choose to analyse.

HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA

Your data lives on your device. You can delete individual entries (meals, readings, photos, medications, appointments) directly in the app at any time. To delete ALL of your data, uninstall Rosie or clear the app's storage in your device settings — this permanently removes everything. We do not retain copies on any server.

CHILDREN

Rosie is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

CHANGES

We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above will change accordingly.
