Does your residence or business have electronics in need of safe and responsible recycling? Help prevent hazardous materials from contaminating soil and and water in landfills and beyond. Electronics contain toxic substances that leak into the ground and air when disposed of in landfills or incinerators. Components can be repurposed. Only 17% of the world's 53 million tons of annual e-waste is recycled; improper disposal contributes to massive environmental pollution. Recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to electricity used by over 3,500 homes annually. By recycling with us, you benefit your community, the environment, and you help create jobs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Electronics aren’t like regular household trash. They contain a variety of toxic materials—including lead, mercury, cadmium, and brominated flame retardants—that can leach into the soil and water supply when dumped in a landfill. Once these hazardous substances enter the environment, they pose serious risks to ecosystems and human health.
While electronic waste (e-waste) makes up only 2% of the trash in U.S. landfills, it accounts for a staggering 70% of the overall toxic waste. Globally, about 62 million metric tons of e-waste is reported annually, but less than 23% was documented as properly recycled. The rest often ends up in landfills, where it poses severe environmental and health risks while wasting valuable resources.

Monday through Friday | 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A 24-hour drop box is located on the Northwest corner of the building.
When dropping items with liquid mercury, handle with care.
The mission of Rosewood e-cycle is to provide work-related training and employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.
