The Northern Winds Concert Band was established in 1978 by a group of Bloomington Kennedy High School parents, to give adults as opportunity to continue playing music beyond their high school and college years. 48 years and 5 conductors later, they have had musicians from all walks of life, from as young as 11 to others playing well into their 90s. They proudly continue that tradition, bringing music to senior homes, churches, and civic venues all over the cities.
