Ms. Rosemary Musumba has over 25 years having started her career as a broadcaster, news editor, and programs producer in the late 1980's with the then Voice of Kenya and with the NGOs.
During her stint with the United Nations, she worked in various countries, with communities especially women and children, in leading Intergovernmental services and collaborations, UN system coordination and leadership, partnership building and resource development and enhancement; and overall strategic and policy issues.
Ms. Musumba’s extensive experience, her knowledge of the United Nations system, her strong interpersonal skills, and her good humor and calm disposition would be of added value to the UN.
She is well known as a crusader on issues that affect children, youth, and women, an upright human being.
I am confident if given an opportunity she would discharge this mandate with excellent results in creating awareness on this issue, increase visibility, partnership building and resource development and enhancement; and overall strategic and policy support.
I can vouch for her professional competence and sense of responsibility are undoubtedly rooted in her solid and impressive background in journalism that leads her to deliver effectively and in a timely fashion.
Ms. Musumba’s extensive experience in Government in her country, her knowledge of the United Nations system at various levels, her strong interpersonal skills, and her excellent humor and calm disposition is of great added value.
