River

Been on one side of the river

Looking across

To my sister & brother

Suffering some loss

Do I stay put, or do I go? 

And if I should go, where do I go, how do I go?

I have this boat 

It's made out of wood

I built this boat for leisure and a good time

What if I rowed this boat over to the other side

Could I do some good, could I do some good, could I do some good?

Afraid that the people would crowd my boat

You know there's just room for a few or it just won't float

And then where would I be, at the bottom of the river?

Oh but God says "no no, that boat will float, that boat will float"

If it is something that the good Lord is behind

The plan will succeed no matter what kind

Cause He's that kind of Father, oh and He'll follow through

He'll follow through, I tell you it's true, He'll follow through
