"I had such a fantastic experience consigning with Rose and Rain! The process went smoothly and promptly from start to finish. It was much simpler than I anticipated! Anna and Cheyenne were delightful to work with and made everything super easy! I was so pleased with Rose and Rain’s communication and my items were displayed perfectly. After the pieces sold, I received my payment promptly and it was a hassle free and win-win situation! I can’t recommend enough working with Rose and Rain to anyone in STL looking to consign their items, I plan to continue doing so whenever I’m parting ways with clothing. I would definitely give five stars for excellent service and a seamless consigning experience!!!"

If you have consigned your clothes before, you may be familiar with bringing a big bin to a counter where you end up getting only $7 and wasting an afternoon. With us, the process works a little differently with the opportunity for a larger chunk of the profit going directly to you.
Rose + Rain offers consignment as an option for clients who are parting with women's clothing pieces that are in new or excellent pre-loved condition, are a quality brand, and in a current style. Here is the breakdown of the process:
Fill out our brief inquiry form and we will reach out to you with next availabile consignment slot (we take 2-3 consignment clients per week).
Choose up to 40 pieces of clothing to photograph and send to us. We review these photos and let you know which items will be a good fit to sell with our brand.
Photo guidelines:
One photo where the full front of the item is visible (and one of the back if any notable details).
One photo of the size/brand tag of each item.
Photos don't need to be great quality, just enough for us to be able to tell the quality and style of the piece. Hanging pieces on a hanger or lying flat on the floor typically make the clearest photos.
Sign and return our terms of agreement document.
Drop off the selected pieces at one of our St. Louis locations (we will provide address options once we are working with you).
Your job is done! Now for our part: we photograph and list your items on mulitiple platforms. They will have 4 months to sell, at which time you will be given the option to either pick them back up or have them donated for you. If your item sells, we notify you at the completion of the sale and offer you 40% of the profit in cash (Venmo) or store credit.

Rose + Rain reserves the right to decline consignment requests that would not be reasonably profitable for both parties.
No stains, rips, tears, holes, or other damage. No significant signs of wear, fading, pilling, or fraying. Rose & Rain does not offer repair services for clients at this time. Damaged or more worn items are not typically quick sellers for us, however if you have a specific question please reach out (for example, Johnny Was dress with a loose button? May still be worth our time).
Trends change constantly, so does what sells on platforms like Poshmark & Mercari. But in order to make a reasonable profit worth both our time, we typically stick to consigning pieces that maintain a higher resale value. There are many brands we accept (and style plays a major factor), but some consistent sellers are J. Crew, Boden, Anthropologie, Patagonia, Veronica Beard, Tuckernuck, Good American, Free People, Kate Spade, Baltic Born, and more. We do accept limited vintage pieces depending on the style, we are not in the vintage resale niche market but if a vintage piece is "back in style" it will often be a good fit!
We highly recommend you to commit to having your items with us for the entire consignment period. However, if you find yourself changing your mind we are able to return pieces early if necessary when they have not sold yet.
After photographing, we store all pieces in sealed plastic inventory bags (folded) as fit allows.
Absolutely! To protect our treasured family life we have a limit on up to 40 items per consignment slot, but if you have more items and have enjoyed the process, we are happy to accept repeat clients! Just let us know you're interested in doing a second slot and/or fill out our inquiry form again.
