We encourage applications from statistics education researchers (and practitioners with an interest in research/scholarship) from all over the world, at any career stage (from undergraduate to Professor), with any level of experience, and of any demographic.
We are a non-profit academic community and all positions are voluntary.

The Core Committee consists of the Director and Co-Directors and is responsible for the overall strategy and management of the RoSE Network, including oversight of the General Committee.
Overview:
Our Communications team are resoponsible for increasing the visibility of the network through our website and social media channels. We are looking for a new Co-Director to help oversee the team, oversee the network's online visiblity, and engage with external partners with communication requests.
Key Responsibilities (shared with the UK Co-Chair):
Represent communications on the Core Committee, acting as liaison between the Network’s members, the communications team, and the Core Committee
Key point of contact for communications, including external and internal queries
Oversee the RoSE Communications Team, which run our website, social media, newsletter, and other forms of external communication as required
Other ad-hoc tasks relating to communications, including marketing strategy and management, for the RoSE Network
Person Specification:
We encourage applications from statistics education researchers (and practitioners with an interest in research/scholarship) from all over the world, at any career stage (from postgraduate to Professor), and of any demographic.
We do not require specific experience, but some things that would strengthen your application include:
Experience of website or social media use for professional purposes
An appreciation of accessibility requirements on online platforms
Strong organisation and documentation skills
As this is a Core Committee role, team and/or project management experience would be beneficial
Time Commitment:
We recognise that RoSE committee members are volunteers and that your day jobs are notoriously hectic. As such, we operate a "many hands make light work" model to help share the load and ensure continuity.
For the Communications Team, we are recruiting one Co-Director to join our existing Communications Co-Director. You will also have a team of website and social media officers to support you.
Between the Communications Co-Directors, you will be expected to:
Attend 1 x 2-hour Core Committee meeting every two months
Attend 1 x 2-hour General Committee meeting every four months
Arrange and chair Communications meetings as required
Spend an average of 30 minutes per week on conference planning and/or related work (this will be variable across the year)
Role Duration:
Ongoing, with four weeks' notice required
Overview:
The RoSE Network has so far been entirely unfunded. We'd like to change this, so that we're able to provide assistance where required for accessibility and inclusion (e.g., internet access in remote areas), to develop our infrastructure (e.g., our website and newsletter), and to award prizes and funding for statistics education research and scholarship.
The Finance Co-Directors will work to identify, set-up, and manage sources of funding (e.g., a pay-as-you-feel model for our conference, a Patreon-style subscription, merchandise, grants) and look after our accounts (e.g., via a third party management company).
Key Responsibilities:
Represent financial matters, including accounting, fundraising, and financial strategy on the Core Committee, acting as liaison between the Network’s members, the Fundraising Team, and the Core Committee
Key point of contact for financial matters, including external and internal queries
Oversees the RoSE Fundraising Team, which will be tasked with identifying and working with the wider committee to apply for sources of funding
Other ad-hoc tasks relating financial strategy and management for the RoSE Network
Person Specification:
We encourage applications from statistics education researchers (and practitioners with an interest in research/scholarship) from all over the world, at any career stage (from postgraduate to Professor), and of any demographic.
We do not require specific experience, but some things that would strengthen your application include:
A creative approach to fundraising
Knowledge of/experience writing successful grant applications, particularly in relation to networking
Strong organisation / record-keeping skills
Attention to detail
As this is a Core Committee role, team and/or project management experience would be beneficial, but not essential
Time Commitment:
We recognise that RoSE committee members are volunteers and that your day jobs are notoriously hectic. As such, we operate a "many hands make light work" model to help share the load and ensure continuity.
In particular, we are recruiting for one other Co-Director for Finance and, once the two Co-Directors are in place, we will begin recruiting a team of fundraisers to support you.
Between the Finance Co-Directors, you will be expected to:
Attend 1 x 2-hour Core Committee meeting every two months
Attend 1 x 2-hour General Committee meeting every four months
Arrange and chair Finance Team meetings as required
Spend an average of 30 minutes per week on proactive fundraising and/or related project work (which can be concentrated in your least busy periods)
Role Duration:
Ongoing, with four week's notice requested.
The General Committee consists of various teams that support the Core Committee in the running of the RoSE Network.
Overview:
Our Outreach team and Geographic Centre leads are crucial in increasing network visibility worldwide. We are currently looking for a Geographic Centre Lead for the Oceania region.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with other RoSE committee members, including the Outreach Co-Directors and Communications team, to promote RoSE events and initiatives worldwide, with the aim of fully diversifying the Network
Working with other RoSE committee members (e.g., the EDI, conference, & funding teams) to remove barriers to participating with RoSE events and initiatives
Other ad-hoc tasks relating to geographical outreach for the RoSE Network
Person Specification:
We encourage applications from statistics education researchers (and practitioners with an interest in research/scholarship) from all over the world, at any career stage (from postgraduate to Professor), and of any demographic.
We do not require specific experience, but some things that would strengthen your application include:
An appreciation of statistics education research needs within your geographical area
Creative approaches to initiatives or developments that would diversify the body of the RoSE network
Enthusiasm for networking and maintaining connections with other researchers
Time Commitment:
We recognise that RoSE committee members are volunteers and our day jobs can be notoriously hectic. As such, we operate a "many hands make light work" model to help share the load and ensure continuity. You will be supported by your Outreach Co-Directors, as well as other Geographic Centre leads worldwide.
As a Geographic Centre Rep, you will be expected to:
Attend 1 x 2-hour General Committee meeting three times per year
Attend ad-hoc Outreach team meetings as required
Spend an average of half an hour per week working on outreach-related activities (which can be concentrated in your least busy periods)
Role Duration:
Ongoing, with four week's notice requested.
Overview:
Our Communications Team are vital for increasing the visibility of the network worldwide, as well as for advertising up and coming network events. We are currently looking for two website officers, who will help sustain the quality and information on our website.
Key Responsibilities:
Update the RoSE Network website with infomation on new events, blog posts, vacancies, or other network information, when requested
Organise the website to remove or archive any information that is older or no longer necessary
Work alongside the network's EDI team to assess accessibility levels of the website, and make changes where necessary
Other ad-hoc tasks relating to communications via the website for the RoSE Network
Person Specification:
