Bio

Having spent 10+ years working in non-profit organisations (NGOs, membership organisations, foundations), I'm now an Atlantic Fellow in Social and Economic Equity.

As part of this, I'm currently undertaking an Msc in Inequalities and Social Science at the International Inequalities Institute in the London School of Economics.

Prior to this I was the Funding Policy Manager at Bond, where I spent several years leading our advocacy work towards donors such as DFID. LinkedIn has more details on my professional background.

Aside from my paid employment, I've gained enormous experience from my work in alternative philanthropy:

  • I owe an incredible debt to the Edge Fund, a grantmaker that funds grassroots groups fighting for justice in the UK, where I have been a member since 2013. I coordinate their Influencing Funders Group, but even in this aspect I gain more than I give.
  • I'm currently the Coordinator of FundAction, an activist-run fund and platform. This involves spending half a day a week learning from the most incredible activists from across Europe.
  • I'm a Board member of the Engaged Donors for Global Equity (EDGE) Funders Alliance, a community of progressive philanthropy. I'm the Secretary and previously supported their Gender Justice Initiative.

I enjoy facilitating, rapporteuring and researching, but I'm open to all kinds of gigs.
