# Rosarito Direct Privacy Policy

Rosarito Direct ("Rosarito Direct," "we," "us," or "our") provides a marketplace that helps property hosts and prospective renters connect directly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.
## Information we collect
We may collect information you provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, profile photo, account role, listing details, property photos, approximate property location, pricing, availability, messages, inquiries, reviews, reports, and support communications.
If you request identity verification, we collect the government identification and live selfie you submit, the status of the review, and any related administrator notes. These materials are treated as private verification information and are not displayed publicly.
We also collect service and device information needed to operate and protect the app, such as device and push-notification tokens, sign-in and account identifiers, app activity, saved properties, recently viewed properties, and basic technical or diagnostic information. If paid memberships are introduced, Apple may provide transaction and subscription status; Rosarito Direct does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
## How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; operate listings, search, messaging, calendars, favorites, reviews, verification, and notifications; review listings before publication; respond to support and safety reports; detect fraud, abuse, and policy violations; enforce our Terms of Use; maintain and improve the service; and comply with legal obligations.
## How information is shared
Public listing information, host display information, ratings, and profile photos may be visible to other users and visitors. Messages and voluntarily shared contact information are visible to the participants in that conversation. Do not place sensitive information in public listing fields or messages unless you intend to share it.
We use service providers to host and operate the app, including Supabase for cloud infrastructure and Apple for app distribution, purchases, and push notifications. They process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or safety concerns, enforce our agreements, or complete a business transfer.
Rosarito Direct does not sell personal information for money. We do not share private identity documents publicly.
## Direct transactions
Rosarito Direct does not process rent, deposits, or booking payments. Hosts and renters who exchange information or transact outside the app are responsible for the privacy and security of those communications and transactions.
## Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, investigate safety or fraud reports, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. You may use the account controls to export available account data or request account deletion. Some information may remain in backups or be retained where legally required or necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
## Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your account and promptly contact us if you suspect unauthorized use.
## Your choices and rights
You may update certain profile information, control notification permissions through your device, choose whether to share your phone number in a conversation, and request access, correction, export, or deletion through available app controls or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
## International processing
Rosarito Direct concerns properties in Mexico and may serve users in multiple countries. Information may be processed in the United States, Mexico, or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your location.
## Children
Rosarito Direct is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly permit children under 18 to create accounts.
## Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised policy and update its effective date, and will provide additional notice when required.
