Dr. Rosario Hidalgo is a board-certified psychiatrist originally from Argentina. After receiving her M.D. degree in Buenos Aires, she worked as a researcher at Duke University Medical Center where she completed her psychiatry residency and a fellowship in psychopharmacology.
Prior to founding Tampa Comprehensive Psychiatry, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida where she also served as the Director of the Depression and Anxiety Research Institute, a center conducting clinical research and treating patients with anxiety and mood disorders.
She currently divides her practice between seeing adult patients at her office and conducting clinical trials finding new treatments for psychiatric disorders at Accel Clinical, part of the Alcanza Network.
Dr. Hidalgo provides comprehensive evaluations and evidence based treatments. Individual needs are approached to work on each person's specific treatment goals. Dr. Hidalgo welcomes family members to be part of the “treatment team" if appropriate.
Dr. Hidalgo is a firm believer in the fact that information is power and strives to provide education about mental health issues and their treatments to patients and families involved in the therapeutic process. She sees patients age 18-65 years old.
