Rosa Lee Photography is a one-woman run business. We are from a small town in Western North Carolina, where we live marvelously close to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Inevitably there has always been the beauty of nature and Western North Carolina to capture, and that's pretty close to where our story starts.
My name is Kaley Ellis and I'm the owner of Rosa Lee Photography. My whole life I've been in love with the beauty of where I live, and I suppose my grandmother was too. Rosa Lee Photography is named after my paternal grandmother, which everyone always called 'Mamaw Rose'. She loved a few specific things, family, friends, flowers, hosting wonderful gatherings, cooking good ole southern home cooked meals, and taking pictures to capture the moments that made her life and the one's around her so special. There was never a time when her camera was out of reach. I guess that's why my love of photography bloomed.
After my grandmother passed away in 2014, I inherited her camera and started my own journey behind the lens as a way to stay connected to her and have a little piece of her to myself.
My love of capturing special moments only grew, as well as my experience.
Nearing the end of my senior year in high school, I got more serious about my hobby and decided that like my grandmother did, I would share my love of capturing special moments with everyone who was interested. Thus Rosa Lee Photography NC was born.
Just like my grandmother did, I aspire to spread creativity and joy through my profession. Rosa Lee Photography offers completely personalized photo shoot sessions in the Western North Carolina Area.
I love what I do, and why I do it.
