About Me

I am completing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMCH) practicum and internship through Grand Canyon University.  I was inspired to become a therapist after a 17-year nursing career. As a cancer survivor personally experiencing the importance of empathy, listening and supportive relationships was just enough to motivate me to continue helping others.  I have worked extensively with adolescents, young adults and the elderly, collaborating extensively with multiple social and community services to develop an enriched understanding of the diversity of mental health needs and available services.  I am fluent in English and Spanish. 

I enjoy being with my family and love to spend time camping and participating in outdoor activities.  

I believe that every day is a new day and a new chance to learn something new.
