The heart of our collective are the bi-monthly rope jams - every first and third wednesday of the month, at Libelle (Tellgasse 25, 1150 Wien). Everyone welcome, from newbies to experienced rope enthusiasts. Beginner-friendly :)
In addition our regular jams, we offer a variety of different event formats througout the year. There is for example our special outdoor event "Hike & Tie", happening during the warm summer months and quarterly art jams "Draw to Rope", where we approach the artistic aspects of tying and getting tied.
If you are an event organizer and want to add an interesting extra to your event - we have yo covered! We can bring rope corners as well as shibari performances to your partys, tailored to your audience. An all-time-favourite is our "Tied Connections", where we lead your guests through a couple of easy ties that are perfect for getting to know each other and warm-up for the night!
A rope jam is an event where people interested in rope bondage come together for rope practice, tying sessions, artistic exploration, or simply to connect with others in the community. We welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced shibari practitioners.
You don't need to be experienced and you don't need to come with a partner - our jams are absolute beginner-friendly :) At the start of each event, we will give you a short introduction about our work and how the jams are structured. We do a short meditation together, that you can join, if you like! Afterwards we'll have a "beginners corner" take place - which is also the perfect place to get to know the community and introduce yourself to others, if yo have come alone. We'll also be showing our "inspo-tie" for the more experienced riggers & models and offer guidance from or teachers if you want to re-tie it.
Hike & Tie is one of our special formats, happening mostly during summer! We’ll pick a place outside reachable by public transport + ~40min walking.
The event can be enjoyed as spending a day outside with rope friends, tie, take pictures, share food with each other or just chill in the forest. Tying is just one of many options and the event is a good opportunity to get to know other shibari people, that like to do ropes as well as being outdoors ☺️
For this quarterly event series we have thought of something special! We’re putting the focus on DRAWING - instead of our usual beginners- and inspo-corner, you'll find models to draw! Of course our motifs will be tied and tying ;)
It is NOT required to draw on those jams - you can use this event same as all our jams and come to self-tie, to tie with your partner or simply socialize.
But YES, we will also offer you the opportunity to study rope in an artistic way on those jams - each time there will be two live rope sessions for you to observe and sketch 🖊 .... at the end of each jam yo are welcome to share your art with others or just look at theirs!
