Rooted Futures LLC was founded with a single goal: to help young people, especially Black and Brown students, build bold, purpose-driven lives. We know that the path to success doesn’t look the same for everyone, and we’re here to support students at every stage, whether they’re planning for college, exploring career options, or simply figuring out what comes next.

We believe in meeting students where they are and guiding them toward where they want to go, with compassion, honesty, and empowerment at every step.

To provide accessible, affirming guidance to high school-aged students, especially those from nontraditional or underrepresented backgrounds, so they can confidently pursue college, career, or life goals with clarity and support.

We currently serve students ages 14 and up (and or incoming high school freshman), with tutoring available for learners as young as 8. Our offerings include 1-on-1 academic tutoring, test prep support (SAT, ACT, and more), and guided sessions in college applications, essay writing, scholarship searches, and FAFSA. For those unsure about college, we also offer life planning sessions focused on career exploration, goal-setting, and personal development. Every session is tailored to meet students where they are and grow with them from there.

We offer services to those near and around the Phoenix area as well as virtual sessions. We will do our best to accommodate anything you require.

🪐 Hi, I’m Maliyah Adams—an educator, mentor, and astrophysicist who’s passionate about helping the next generation thrive. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Astrophysics and Astronomy. I have a background in teaching and mentoring in places like Sylvan Learning facilities, the Arizona State America Reads Program and with my own siblings at home.
