At Root + Hive, we believe in fostering a community of independent growers who work together to create something truly special. Our growers operate on their own schedules and terms, which makes us different from your average nursery business. We strive for diversity, uniqueness, and collaboration, and we're proud to offer a growing community unlike any other. We like to think of ourselves as a growing community.
Following our Spring Sale in May, we are usually open 10am -3pm every Saturday and Sunday following until the end of July.

Feed your soil with locally produced compost
Root + Hive is now offering fresh compost for on-site pickup. We manage and turn this compost using local ingredients to ensure it maintains the proper balance. All batches are formally tested, and analysis reports are available upon request.
**Price:** $25 loading fee per bucket. Each bucket is 1 cubic yard and sold only in full-yard increments. Please note that the compost is unscreened, which means it may contain larger pieces of wood debris or leaves. While small bits of trash may be present due to the source material, any larger debris should be reported back to Root + Hive. Payments can be made via Venmo, card, or cash, and must be completed before leaving the property. Pickup is by appointment only.

During every step of the way from seed harvest to greenhouse production to going home with you, we work to ensure that our processes are as environmentally-friendly and sustainable as possible.
Every one of our 300+ species of native wildflowers and grasses are straight-species (or non-cultivar), meaning they have not been bred by man for specific qualities, and thus are the absolute most natural and diverse plants you can find.
