Terms of Use (EULA) for Root & Reason

By downloading, installing, or using Root & Reason ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. Description of Service
Root & Reason is a Christian apologetics education app that provides structured lessons, quizzes, and daily learning content across topics in theology, philosophy, and biblical studies.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
The App offers auto-renewable subscription plans (monthly and annual) that unlock premium content.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.
4. Content & Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including lessons, text, graphics, and design — is owned by Root & Reason and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without written permission.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
Redistribute or republish App content
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Root & Reason shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
8. Educational Purpose
Content in the App is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional theological counsel or pastoral guidance.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States.
