As the starting point of the journey, Kathgodam or Lohajung is where you will typically be requested to congregate.


By air

The main airport in Uttarakhand is the Jolly Grant Airport, often known as the Dehradun Airport. For the towns and cities of Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Mussoorie, Nainital, Haridwar, Rishikesh, etc., the Dehradun Airport acts as the entry point. All of India's main cities are well connected to Dehradun Airport.

From Dehradun, you can continue on by bus, automobile, or train to Kathgodam.


By train

Kathgodam railway station is the final station that is most convenient to Roopkund. You have the option of travelling directly to Kathgodam by train from Delhi or Dehradun. Additionally, Rishikesh or Haridwar have train stations that are easily accessible from Roopkund.


By car

From Delhi to Kathgodam, there are direct overnight Volvo buses. Alternatively, you can divide your journey into sections by stopping in Haridwar, Rishikesh, or any nearby town of your choice.
