Pre-monsoon and post-monsoon are your two possibilities.
Roopkund trek best time The summers of May and June are considered the pre-monsoon season. It may be argued that the vistas are better at this time of year. The valley meadows are greener, and the famed lake has melted enough to see the skeletons. However, you won't see much snow—possibly none at all.
August through September would be the post-monsoon months. The lake is frozen, the meadows are on the browner side, and there is a tonne of snow! Your best time to complete Roopkund is when you can choose between the snow and the skeleton lake.
