RoomSplit (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and handled when you use the RoomSplit mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

RoomSplit collects only the minimum data required for app functionality.

a. Personal Information

When you sign in using Google, we collect:

• Email address

• Display name

• Unique user ID (provided by Firebase Authentication)

• Rooms you create or join

• Expenses you add within rooms

• Room membership information
  
  

We do not collect:

• Phone numbers

• Contacts

• Location data

• Payment or banking information
  
  

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to:

• Authenticate users securely

• Create and manage rooms

• Track shared expenses within rooms

• Display your name and email inside the app

We do not use your data for advertising or analytics beyond basic app functionality.

3. Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored securely using Firebase services.

• Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In).

• Access to data is restricted to authenticated users only.

We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

4. Data Sharing

RoomSplit does not share your personal data with:

• Advertisers

• Third-party marketing services

• External organizations

Your data is used only for app functionality.

5. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly inside the app.

When you delete your account:

• Your authentication access is permanently removed

• You are signed out immediately

• Your account can no longer be used to access the app

• All associated data stored in Firebase (including rooms, expenses, and memberships) is permanently deleted
  
  

To delete your account:

1. Open the app

2. Go to Profile

3. Select Delete Account

4. Confirm deletion
   
   

6. Logout

You can log out at any time from the Profile screen.
Logging out signs you out of the app and shows the Google account chooser on the next login.

7. Children’s Privacy

RoomSplit is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected within the app or app listing.
