About the STEZIP Platform
Your privacy is important to us. It is STEZIP’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our mobile application. We operate a platform to connect owners and tenants for room rentals, hostels, and PGs.
1. Information We Collect
We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. This includes your name, email, phone number, address, and profile picture. If you choose to use the verification feature, we collect a photo of your government-issued ID card.
2. Use of Information
We use your information to facilitate the connection between room owners and tenants. Your location is used to show you relevant nearby listings. Profile information is shared with other users only as necessary for the service (e.g., showing an owner’s name to a tenant).
3. Data Storage and Security
We store all data securely using Google Firebase services. Identity verification documents are stored in protected folders and are only accessible by administrators for the purpose of verification.
4. User Controls
Owners have the option to hide their phone numbers from the general public. You can update your profile information at any time through the Edit Profile section.
5. Communications
We may use your contact information to send you notifications regarding your account, chat messages from other users, or updates to our service.
6. Cookies and Tracking
While we do not use traditional browser cookies, we use mobile identifiers to maintain your session and provide a personalized experience.
