Privacy Policy for RoomRadar

RoomRadar ("the app," "we," "us") helps you find nearby Bluetooth devices around
your home. We built RoomRadar to work entirely on your device. This policy
explains what the app accesses, why, and what happens to that information.
The short version
RoomRadar does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal
information. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no third‑party
tracking. Everything the app does happens locally on your device.
Information the app accesses
Bluetooth. RoomRadar scans for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices to
detect them and estimate how far away they are based on signal strength. This
scanning happens only while the app is open and is processed entirely on your
device. We do not record, upload, or share the identifiers or signal data of any
device.
Camera and LiDAR (AR Search). When you use AR Search, the app uses your
device's camera and, where available, the LiDAR depth sensor to display a live
signal "heatmap" over your surroundings. Camera and depth data are processed in
real time on your device to render the view and are never saved, recorded, or
transmitted.
Information stored on your device
To make the app useful, RoomRadar saves a small amount of information locally on
your device using the system's standard preference storage:
- Custom names you give to devices (for example, "My AirPods").
- Which devices you have chosen to pin or hide.
- For pinned devices, the time and signal strength when they were last detected,
so they can still be shown after they move out of range.
- App preferences, such as whether you have completed the introductory screen.
This information never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time by
deleting the app.
Purchases
RoomRadar offers an optional "Pro" upgrade (a monthly subscription or a one‑time
lifetime purchase) that unlocks additional features. All purchases are processed
by Apple through the App Store. RoomRadar does not see or store your payment
details. Apple handles the transaction and may provide us with non‑identifying
sales information in accordance with Apple's terms. Subscriptions can be managed
or cancelled at any time in your Apple ID settings.
Information we do not collect
RoomRadar does not collect or process:
- Your name, email, phone number, or contacts.
- Your location (the app does not use GPS or location services).
- Photos, videos, or audio recordings.
- Any usage analytics or advertising identifiers.
Data sharing
We do not share any data with third parties because the app does not collect or
transmit any data. Purchases are handled directly by Apple as described above.
Children's privacy
RoomRadar does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this policy and
revise the effective date above.
