Tournament Name: RookLift Chess Club Open 2

Requirements To Play In The Tournament: 

• Players must have a CFC membership 

• must pay a registration fee to join the Lichess team/tournament.

•  Players must have valid Lichess accounts (No fair play violations or Lichess TOS violations, these accounts won't be accepted in the team regardless of these accounts they send payment to us).

Fair Play:

• Players with violated Lichess TOS tag/and or Cheater tag won't be allowed to join the club and play the tournament

• Players who are marked as Cheater will be suspended from the club and no CFC points will be gained 

• Cheating detecting is done by Lichess, but all games will be checked for fair-play

• Prizes will be on hold for 24 hours after the tournament is completed to check for fair-play

• if a player thinks their opponent is cheating the player can report the player on Lichess

Tournament Round Breaks: 3 mins

Tournament Check-in & Bye: 6:30 PM EST works to check the internet connection. Though you can join anytime, late joiners get bye from Lichess, and if there are odd numbers of players, Lichess gives byes.

Tournament Tie-breaks:

If the 1st and 2nd have the same points, the following will be used to determine positions/winners.

• Direct Encounter

• Wins with Black

• Most Wins

• Alphabetical Name order 

Early Bird Tournament Fee: $10 before Aug 22, 2023 10:00 PM EST

Late Tournament Fee:  $15 after Aug 22, 2023, 10:00 PM EST
