1. Agreement to These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using RoofMetric ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and the operator of RoofMetric ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully.

2. Who RoofMetric Is For

RoofMetric is designed for licensed and professional roofing contractors operating in Canada. The App provides tools to assist contractors in estimating roof measurements and preparing quotes for their clients.

The App is not intended for use by homeowners or the general public for the purpose of obtaining binding cost estimates. If you are a homeowner, any figures produced by this App should be treated as rough estimates only and verified by a licensed roofing contractor before making any purchasing or contracting decisions.

By using the App, you confirm that you are:

•At least 18 years of age

•Using the App for professional or business purposes

•Responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3. User Accounts

To access most features of RoofMetric, you must create an account using your email address. You are responsible for:

•Keeping your login credentials secure

•All activity that occurs under your account

•Ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and up to date

We use a one-time email verification code (OTP) to authenticate users. We do not store passwords.

You may not share your account with others or allow unauthorized persons to access the App using your credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used improperly.

4. Description of Service

RoofMetric provides the following core features:

•Satellite-based roof measurement estimation using the Google Solar API to estimate roof dimensions from aerial imagery

•Manual measurement entry for contractors who have performed their own on-site measurements

•Quote generation including material estimates, labour, waste factors, taxes, and other costs

•PDF export of professional-looking quotes to share with clients

•Inspection photo capture to document roof conditions

•Quote history and template management

These features are intended to assist contractors in preparing preliminary estimates more efficiently. The App does not replace on-site verification, engineering assessments, or a contractor's professional judgment.

5. In-App Purchases and Payments

5.1 Purchase Model

RoofMetric operates on a credit-based system. New users receive a limited number of free quotes. Additional quotes are purchased as one-time credit packs through Apple's App Store. Credits do not expire.

5.2 Apple App Store

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple Inc. through the App Store. By making a purchase, you also agree to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. We do not collect or store your payment card information.

5.3 Pricing

Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) at the time of purchase and may vary by region as determined by Apple. All applicable taxes are handled by Apple at the point of sale.

5.4 Refund Policy

Because all purchases are processed by Apple, all refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for App Store purchases. To request a refund:

•Visit reportaproblem.apple.com

•Sign in with your Apple ID

•Find the purchase and select "Request a Refund"

We will cooperate with Apple in good faith if they contact us regarding a refund dispute.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use RoofMetric only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

•Use the App to prepare fraudulent quotes or misrepresent costs to clients

•Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the App

•Use automated tools or scripts to access the App in an unauthorized manner

•Interfere with the App's security features or infrastructure

•Upload content (including photos) that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on any third party's rights

•Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or its outputs for purposes other than your own professional quoting work

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates this section.

7. Satellite Imagery and Measurement Accuracy

Important — please read carefully.

RoofMetric uses satellite imagery provided by the Google Solar API to estimate roof dimensions. These measurements are estimates only and carry inherent limitations:

•Imagery may not reflect recent additions, alterations, or damage to a structure

•The accuracy of measurements depends on the quality and recency of available satellite data

•Roof pitch, valley lengths, hip lengths, and other geometry are calculated algorithmically and may differ from actual field conditions

•The waste factor suggested by the App is a calculated estimate and may not account for all site-specific variables

You must verify all measurements on-site before using any figures produced by this App as the basis for a signed contract or binding quote. RoofMetric is a starting point, not a final answer. A qualified roofing professional must review and confirm all measurements and pricing before presenting a quote to a client.

We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy of any measurements produced by the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

RoofMetric is a quoting assistance tool. The contractor using the App is solely and entirely responsible for:

•The accuracy of any quote presented to their client

•On-site verification of all measurements

•Material quantities ordered

•Labour pricing and subcontractor costs

•Compliance with local building codes, permit requirements, and safety standards

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from:

•Inaccurate measurements or estimates produced by the App

•Client disputes resulting from quotes generated using the App

•Business losses or lost revenue

•Any errors in pricing, tax calculations, or material estimates

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months immediately prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Canadian law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, design, trademarks, and software in RoofMetric are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

Your use of the App does not grant you any ownership rights in the App or its content.

Your data is yours. Quotes, photos, and business information you enter into the App remain your property. We do not claim ownership of the content you create.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

•The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times

•Measurements or calculations will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose

•Data stored in the App will never be lost

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Privacy and Data Collection

We take your privacy seriously and comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect:

•Your email address (for account authentication)

•Quote data, addresses, and client information you enter into the App

•Inspection photos you capture or upload

•Basic usage information to improve the App

How we use it:

•To operate and improve the App

•To authenticate your account

•

To sync your data across devices when you are signed in

What we do not do:

•We do not sell your personal information to third parties

•We do not use your client data for advertising

•We do not store your payment card information (all payments are handled by Apple)

Data storage:

Your data is stored on our servers using industry-standard security practices. Quote data is synced to the cloud when you are signed in, so it is accessible across devices.

Your rights:

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent for certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at quoteprocanada@gmail.com.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you within the App.

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the App.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time by contacting us at quoteprocanada@gmail.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion if:

•You breach these Terms

•We are required to do so by law

•We decide to discontinue the App

Purchased credits have no cash value and are non-refundable upon termination, except as required by Apple's refund policy or applicable Canadian consumer protection law.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saskatchewan, Canada.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of RoofMetric and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
