Ronnie Tarchichi’s academic journey is a testament to his dedication to education and continuous learning. He holds two distinguished doctoral degrees. In 2020, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Temple University, focusing on Special Education, underscoring his commitment to supporting students with diverse needs. In 2016, he completed a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Rowan University, equipping him with the tools to drive institutional progress and innovation.


Beyond his doctoral achievements, Dr. Tarchichi has attained six master’s degrees, showcasing his breadth of academic interests and commitment to personal growth. Between 2015 and 2018, he earned two Master of Arts degrees from Rowan University, specializing in Learning Disabilities and Special Education. His academic portfolio includes a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey (2011), a Master of Biomedical Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and a Master of Science in Biology from Rutgers University. He began his postgraduate studies with a Master of Education in Physical Education and Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey in 2005. His academic foundation was established with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Philosophy from West Virginia University in 2004.


Leadership in K-12 Education


Since 2024, Dr. Tarchichi has served as the Executive Director of Education and Principal at the Mary Dobbins School & Legacy Treatment Services in Hainesport, New Jersey. In this role, he oversees academic and therapeutic programs for students in grades 5 through 12, ensuring they receive comprehensive academic and personal growth support. His leadership extends to enhancing the school’s infrastructure and expanding its educational offerings to better serve its students.


From 2016 to 2024, Dr. Tarchichi led Pennsauken Public Schools as Superintendent, managing a $172 million budget and overseeing significant advancements. Under his leadership, the district introduced over 20 career and technical education programs, including automotive technology, cosmetology, and Air Force JROTC. He also established dual-credit agreements with colleges, enabling students to graduate high school with up to 60 college credits. One of his most notable accomplishments during this period was the creation of the Roosevelt STEM School, Pennsauken’s first-ever top-ranked state school.


Additionally, he oversaw the construction of modern facilities, including a $7 million Field House and an eight-lane competition track.

From 2013 to 2016, Ronnie served as Superintendent and Principal of the Woodlynne School District. During this time, he secured a $4 million ROD Grant for facility improvements and achieved significant gains in student performance. His work was recognized with a Leadership Award from the Woodlynne Mayor and Police Chief.


Contributions to Higher Education


Dr. Tarchichi’s influence extends to higher education, where he has taught and mentored students preparing for careers in science and health. From 2012 to 2017, he was an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Rowan University. Additionally, he taught biology, chemistry, and microbiology at Burlington County College and Mercer County College. Through his involvement in Temple University’s Upward Bound Program, he helped high school students strengthen their academic foundations in preparation for college.


Culinary Arts Experience


In addition to his extensive work in education, Dr. Tarchichi has a unique background in the culinary arts. For 25 years, he worked as the Head Cook in his family’s restaurant, gaining valuable skills in food preparation, customer service, and teamwork. Working closely with his mother, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of the importance of dedication—values that have guided him throughout his professional career.


Certifications and Recognitions


Dr. Tarchichi holds numerous professional certifications as Superintendent, Principal, Supervisor, and Certified Educational Facilities Manager (CEFM). He is also certified in various instructional areas, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Culinary Arts, Driver’s Education, Health and Physical Education, and Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD). These certifications are recognized in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.


His work has been celebrated with several awards. In 2024, he received the "Superintendent’s Academic Achievement Award" for creating New Jersey’s top-ranked state school. In 2020, he was honored with the "Courageous Leadership Award" for his guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.


Research and Publications


Dr. Tarchichi has significantly contributed to academic research through his two published dissertations. His first dissertation, completed at Temple University, explored strategies to improve learning outcomes for students with disabilities. His second, completed at Rowan University, examined interdisciplinary approaches to enhance primary and secondary education learning environments.
