Howdy! My name is Arjun Rondla and I am running to be one of your next USG Senators for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
This is my first year at Arizona State, where I am majoring in Political Science with a certificate in Political History and Leadership.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and while I love Houston (the most diverse city in the nation!) and Texas, I choose move to Tempe to attend Arizona State. I believe this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I wanted to attend a big university in a big city with lots of opportunity and Arizona State offerred exactly that.
I've always felt right at home in the mountains and the desert of Arizona, and it's really hard to beat the beautiful weather--a perfect combination for somebody who loves to hike, off-road, and spend time in the outdoors. We have to preserve our great outdoors for future generations.
In high school, I was able to get my Private Pilot's License and it has turned out to be one of the most challenging and rewarding things I have ever done. I enjoy embracing a safety culture and being the most professional pilot I can be.
I was also a tutor in high school, helping many of my students overcome dyslexia and improve their test scores, with my students earning hundreds of thousands in scholarships and getting accepted into their dream schools! I have truly seen the potential in every student, once it is unlocked.
At ASU, if I'm not outdoors or studying, then I am spending time with the Theta Xi Fraternity, or involved in a multitude of campus organizations.
I also serve on the board of BridgeASU, an amazing organization dedicated to bridging the political divide across our campus and our nation. I am commited to fostering a political culture in which we respect each other, and focus on policies. Our country depends on it.
