Reflection:

This weeks exercise is the beginning of an annotated bibliography, I was highly appreciative of the informative video that I was given access to via the Linked in Learning platform. it gave me some real insights into how information is processed and evolved upon and how that information takes time to formulate into higher quality, more scholarly and academic sources. Then the SAE college universities slides shared the the importance of the SAE Library and the formatting of an annotated bibliography.

Reflection upon Graduate seminar 4/6/2024 - with Toby Wren,

Creative practice research and graduate seminar. through serendipity or amazing planning Toby's graduate seminar was initially about the harnessing of what we do, synthesizing our creative practice and bringing academic rigour to our work to build something new. This then evolved into a big discussion around critical thinking and critical reading, evaluating credibility, and critical appraisal. Toby also mentioned the LinkedIn Learning module. primary source for practical work. We discussed Google google scholar, Sae Library, research gate is a great resource. academia.edu, researchgate.net we also discussed edited collections in the curated sections of the library. We also discussed gateway research, by trawling bibliographies. Dugald's prompt around sexploitation films from the 70's that ended up into a great discussion about research, dialogue, argument, discussion, fuel for thought.
