Worship Sunday Mornings 10:30 AM

Bible Study - Sundays         9:30 AM

Women's Bible Study

Wednesday Mornings: 10 am                  in the Fellowship Hall.         Plan to join us as we study the awesome power of God that invites us into an incredible, abundant relationship in His Mercy and Grace.

The heart of the Lutheran Church’s beliefs is the doctrine of justification, the teaching of how we are declared righteous in God’s sight. For years the Lutheran Church has used watchwords to articulate this doctrine:

A sinner is justified by grace alone (sola gratia)  through faith alone (sola fide) for the sake of Christ alone (solus Christus), a truth revealed to us in Scripture alone (sola Scriptura).

On Being Lutheran

A Summertime Sunday Exploration

Would you like a refresher on what it means to be a Lutheran Christian? Would you like to know more about Holy Trinity’s guiding truths and the teachings of Lutheranism in general?

You are invited to a Summer Sunday Journey:

“On Being Lutheran!”

All handouts will be conveniently located ahead of class in the Community Room and Pastor’s Office. If you would like to preview the topic and reading, please pick up a weekly packet. The Summer Schedule is on the narthex table.

Why are we here? To lengthen and strengthen Christ's ministry by encouraging, supporting, and participating in the spiritual growth of each other and our neighbors through God's grace, wisdom and guidance.

Pentecost 5   June 28, 2026  10:30 a.m.

WELCOME!

A special welcome to all visitors and guests who are with us today.  We pray that you will hear and receive the Word of God with joy in our midst.  If you are a guest, please sign our guest book located in the narthex.

HOLY COMMUNION is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month.  We invite you to prepare for the Sacrament of Holy Communion with the following personal questions: Am I a believer, confessing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior?  Do I believe Christ is fully present in the communion meal with His body and blood in the Bread and Wine to forgive sin and restore fellowship with the Father? Do I come with a repentant heart intending to live in obedience to God’s will?  Answering yes to these questions is an indication that one is prepared to receive Communion.

LCMS Convention, July 2026

Pastor Jeff Jordan and Rich Brauckman, Convention delegates, will represent our circuit at the Synod Convention in July. They want to solicit input from LCMS members. While they are free to vote their conscience, they also represent us and the collective thoughts of the circuit. To that end, they have scheduled two Zoom meetings to hear our thoughts.

Pastor Jordan writes, “Please join us for either of the meetings. The meeting links are below. There are many elections and many resolutions. We will not be able to review them all with you. So, we ask you to do your homework ahead and come with specific comments/questions. For more Convention information, go to:

Synod President Re-elected

June 24, 2026: The Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, having received more than 50% of the votes cast, is the president-elect of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) for a sixth term of office, 2026–2029.

The election for the position of Synod president began last fall with an online nominating process. The candidates for the office of president were the five ordained ministers who received the highest number of votes in the nominations process and who consented to serve if elected. The first and second rounds of voting were not conclusive, necessitating a third ballot. In the third round of voting, a total of 5,038 votes were cast, constituting a vote percentage of 92.0% of the electorate. (The vote percentage was 85.4% in the first round and 88.4% in the second round.)

The result of the third ballot tallied and reported to the secretary of the Synod by YesElections is as follows:

  • Harrison was voted president-elect with 2,524 votes (50.1%);

  • The Rev. Dr. Joel D. Biermann received 2,414 votes (47.9%); and

  • The Rev. Benjamin T. Ball received 100 votes (2.0%).

Luther’s Fourth Petition for Our July Fourth: Give us this day our daily bread. What does this mean? God certainly gives daily bread to everyone without our prayers, even to all evil people, but we pray… that God would lead us to realize this and   to receive our daily bread with thanksgiving.

What is meant by daily bread? Daily bread includes everything that has to do with the support and needs of the body, such as food, drink, clothing, shoes, house, home, land, animals, money, goods, a devout husband or wife, devout children, devout workers, devout and faithful rulers, good government, good weather, peace, health, self-control, good repu- tation, good friends, faithful neighbors, and the like.
