Some people say fate works in mysterious ways. For us, fate was a spilled cup of coffee and a very apologetic barista.

It all started on a chilly November morning at a little café in downtown Seattle. Isla was running late for work, and in her rush, she bumped into a stranger holding a steaming cup of coffee. That stranger was Daniel. The coffee? All over his shirt. Isla was horrified, and Daniel, despite being the unfortunate victim, just smiled and said, ‘Well, I was thinking of getting a new shirt anyway.’ 

That moment turned into a conversation, which turned into a coffee date a week later, and the rest… is history.

Fast forward five years, countless adventures, and one shared Netflix account later, Daniel knew it was time. He planned a weekend getaway to their favorite spot – a secluded beach in Big Sur. 

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, he dropped to one knee with a simple but heartfelt, ‘Isla, will you marry me?’ Through happy tears and uncontrollable laughter, she said yes! 

And here we are, ready to say ‘I do’ in front of the people we love most.
